서초동 1360-38번지는 좁고 기다란 대지에, 남측에 도로를 길게 면하고 있다. 따라서, 정북일조 법규로 인해 가늘고 긴 건물이 될 운명을 갖고 있다. 또한 주변 상업지역과 인접한 제3종 주거지역의 경계에 위치하여 높은 고층 건물의 틈바구니 속에 건물의 존재감이 묻히기 쉬운 대지이다.

Cliff Tower는 이러한 대지가 갖는 조건에 대응하여 가늘고 길지만, 높고 넓게 치솟아 오른 타워이다. 강남대로에서의 진입로 초입에서, 건물은 최대한의 높이로 절벽과 같이 수직적으로 우뚝 서서 그 존재감을 명확히 드러낸다. 건물은 가까이 갈수록 최대한의 수직성을 보여주며 주변의 높은 건물들에 대응한다. 건물 앞 도로에서 접하는 건물은 반복적 요소로 이루어진 입면으로 건물의 규모를 가늠하기 어렵게 길고 넓게 수평적으로 뻗어나간다.

1360-38 Seocho-dong is on a narrow and long site, facing the long side to the south road. Therefore, it is destined to become a long and slender building due to the setback regulation in Korea. Also, it is located on the boundary between the surrounding commercial area and the type 3 residential area, so it is a site where the presence of a building is easy to be buried among the high-rise buildings.

The Cliff Tower is a thin and long tower that soars high and wide in response to the conditions of the site. At the entrance of the access road from Gangnam-daero, the building stands vertically like a cliff to the maximum height, clearly revealing its presence. As you get closer to the building, it shows maximum verticality and responds to the tall buildings around it. On the road in front of the building, the building shows a façade composed of repetitive elements, extending horizontally and long, making it difficult to estimate the size of the building.
