Hidden Refuge : 군중속의 은신처

대상지는 두 개의 승강장이 교차하는 가장 번잡하고 밀도 높은 동선으로 이루어진 936 정거장 지하철역 공간의 중심부에 위치한다. 밀집한 동적인 인파 속에 묻힌 시민 개개인을 위한 은밀한 휴식의 공간, 만남의 공간으로써 Hidden Refuge를 제안한다.

전체 조형물은 ‘상징적 오브제’라기 보다는 주변 공간을 투영하고 확장하여 주는 ‘상징적 공간’으로 작동한다. 공간 안쪽에서는 서로 반사하는 양쪽 mirror를 활용하여 연속된 무한의 공간을 만들어주고 개개인의 자아를 투영시키며 개인적 공간을 구성한다. 이와 함께 보다 선명한 빛과 자연의 소리로, 밀도 높은 군중의 숲 속에 역설적으로 편안함을 느낄 수 있는 쉼터를 제공해주고자 한다.

The site is located in the center of the 936 station subway station space, which is the busiest and densest copper line crossing two platforms. It offers a hidden rest space for individual citizens buried in a dense dynamic crowd, and a hidden refuge as a meeting space.

The entire sculpture is not a ‘symbolic object’ but rather a ‘symbolic space’ that projects and expands the surrounding space. Inside the space, using both mirrors that reflect each other, creates a continuous infinite space, projecting the individual’s self and constructing a personal space. Along with this, we will provide a shelter to feel paradoxical comfort in the forest of dense crowd with clearer light and natural sounds.
