인천 파라다이스 호텔은 매년 미디어 아티스트를 초청해 전시를 여는 ‘파라다이스 아트랩’ 행사를 주최한다. 이곳에서 파렛트는 전시와 휴게 공간을 조성하는 재료가 되었다. 특히 엮어 쌓는 방식을 최대 규모로 응용하여 거대한 스튜디오 공간을 채워가며 미디어 아트 전시의 검은색 배경이 되었다.

1500여개의 파렛트가 쓰였으며, 단기 전시와 행사에 효율적 인 재료의 특성을 살려 이틀 안에 설치했고, 전시 후에는 하루 만에 깔끔하게 철거되었다. 어두운 공간에서 조명과 전시물과 어우러져 거대한 스케일로 신비스러운 전시 공간의 분위기를 연출하였다.

Incheon Paradise Hotel hosts the ‘Paradise Art Lab’ event that invites media artists to open exhibitions every year. Here, pallets became a material for creating exhibitions and resting spaces. In particular, the weaving method was applied on the largest scale, filling the huge studio space and becoming a black background for the media art exhibition.

About 1500 pallets were used, and they were installed within two days taking advantage of the efficient materials for short-term exhibitions and events, and were neatly demolished within one day after the exhibition. The atmosphere of the mysterious exhibition space was created on a huge scale in harmony with the lighting design and the exhibits in the dark space.
